MONSTER TIME CAPSULE HOARD FOUND! METAL DETECTING 250+ OLD COINS FROM 1926-1967 | DETECTORISTS DREAM
Metal detecting a yard FULL of old coins, mostly from 1926-1967, like some sort of time capsule. I call this the monster coin hoard! There were over 250 coins unearthed over the 2 trips there, and many other interesting items and relics were dug as well. This lawn was definitely a detectorists dream.
I hope this video gives you the motivation to get out and door knock. There are still permissions like this out there! If you didn't watch the first hunt at this location. Follow the link below. Which will take you to the original video from 2015 that includes the other permissions we hunted that day. We ended up finding 26 silver coins! This is NOT the edited version I posted earlier this year that only shows the finds from the hoard location. Man finds rare 6th century Gold pendant using a metal detector. A rare Gold pendant coin has been found by one lucky man.
A rare 6th Century gold pendant coin has been found by someone using a metal detector. The coin is more than 1,500 years old. The early Anglo-Saxon pendant is imprinted with an image of Emperor Justinian and is thought to have been made in France. It was found by Godfrey Pratt in a field near Attleborough, Norfolk.

1st Olympics of Metal Detecting, Italy: Garrett AT MAX.
Please enjoy this short video of our trip to Cesenatico, Italy, to the launch of the new Garrett AT MAX, and the 1st Olympics of Metal Detecting held on 7th May, 2017. We were able to put in a couple of hours on the new AT MAX and it will be a seamless move for any experienced AT Gold or AT Pro International users. It is also very user friendly for first-time users. The built in Z-Lynk system worked flawlessly with delay-free target signals, and the increased power of the AT MAX had us digging some deep targets on the beach. 3 hours beach hunt! Recent wind storms took away the sand, the beach is flat in many areas up and down the beach. The targets are close to the surface and most were coins, very little trash.

I will go back to this spot with the proper sized spades and do it all again. If anyone knows what the square disc things are I would love to know! And if anyone has suggestions on how to start on this dump let me know. Even better, a teacher!

Swear I've dug here before... Metal Detecting old coins on the 1800's Farm
I was able to sneak out for some metal detecting at the old farm on Mother's Day for a few hours of digging while my wife was out with the kids. Shhh, don't tell her. Not as long as a normal hunt would be but I was lucky to be able to get out at all.

Metal detecting Estonia Parnu Beach - Old Soviet coins
Metal detecting trip to Pärnu Beach, Estonia, in summer 2016.
The northernmost country of the Baltic states, Estonia, has a coastline close to the Gulf of Finland, the Baltic Sea and the Gulf of Riga, almost 4000km. T
The most famous beach town is the Estonian summer capital city of Pärnu, which has been spa and tourist destination since the early 1800's.
The city and its beach attract thousands of tourists each year to enjoy fine sandy and shallow beaches. I had the opportunity to use my metal detector on the Pärnu beach on an early summer morning when there were not yet many people there. I had only about one and a half hours, so I didn’t have time to go through a very big area.
The findings were very typical to this kind of beach. There were more than enough bottle caps and pull tabs, but luckily there were some coins, too. The most interesting were the Soviet coins, the oldest of which was the 1963 Soviet two Kopeck’s coin. It’s interesting to think, what kind of time Estonia and Pärnu had back then and what kind of value kopeck had at that time.
Don’t know what the person who dropped this coin had in his mind, but it could have been the Cuban missile crisis, or if the coin was dropped in June-1963, it might have been the Soviet-US hotline that was designed to avoid a threatening nuclear war.
That same month was also very significant to the Soviet Union space race, for then the first civilian and woman, the 26-year-old textile factory worker Valentina Tereshkova spent three days in space and orbited the globe 48 times. By the way, did you know, that fifty years later, in 2013, space travel was still in Valentina’s mind when she volunteered for a one-way flight to Mars.
Well, I didn’t yearn for such a long distance travel, so I went on my way from Estonia to much closer, Latvia.
My next video shows my metal detecting trip at the Latvian deserted beaches, which not so long ago were still part of the prohibited border zone.

How to metal detect a campground with a Garrett Metal Detector
This video explains how to use your metal detector in a campground. In this video I am using my Garrett Ace 250 metal detector, however I don't think that it would matter which metal detector you were using, the basic principles are the same.
I use to do a lot of metal detecting, and campgrounds have always been one of my favourite places to detect, however I developed a really serious dose of tennis elbow and had to stop a couple of years ago.
I sold my Garrett AT pro to Pratty, one of my best mates but held onto the smaller Garrett Ace 250 as it is an awesome, and very underrated little metal detector, or coin detector.

Metal Detecting Thailand with Stefan Burford. Season 1 Episode 11 - Gold smile.
I was away on a family trip to an island in southern Thailand. I managed to get out for a couple of hours for a swing.
This island is stunning and produced some very nice finds for me.
Sadly, there is also a lot of waste under the sand due to everything having to be shipped in by boat and returned again.
The Minelab CTX 3030 managed to pick out the treasure through the trash for me.
The haul:
1 - 8 gram Coco Channel 22 karat ring.
1 - designer silver ring (no stone)
Some older coins.
Lots of modern coins.

This house started out as a Pub/Hotel before changing to a Bakery in the early 1900's and then was converted into a house in the 80's. You can imagine how happy I was to score this place and then the disappointment when I found nothing of significance so clearly someone has detected here before... oh well we'll move on.

SILVER, COINS & RELICS on the Hunted-Out Lots! - North Texas Metal Detecting
[5.06 - 5.07.17] - After finding some old coins on a previous search at one of these hunted-out lots, I decide to take the E-Trac back out to this area to see if any goodies might be hiding on some of the other empty house lots. Surprisingly, there are still plenty of good targets left in the ground. Over two days, I end up digging a nice assortment of objects including a handful of Wheaties, a couple of tokens, a few interesting relics and a Sterling Silver Military Pin from World War II.

I hit two older parks I have been to in the past and found a few old pennies including an LC. I also managed to find a huge spill of TTC tokens.
Found Gold- Metal Detecting at Night Using Sea Hunter Mark II
I always hunt at night to be free from the crowd, no heat of the sun and mostly on water for a bigger chance of finding jewelries and less trash. I use a Garrett Sea Hunter Mark II. No discrimination, dig all signal and help clean the environment.

Underwater recovery attempt for a lost platinum wedding ring...
At the time the ring was lost, the Bass were being thrown feed and worms. The Bass were hyper active (feeding frenzy) and it's believed one of Bass may have hit (eaten) the shiny-platinum wedding band as it hit the water.
Not sure if we'll ever know!

Back on my permission this morning, finally. Its been raining here non stop for the last 6 days. I try to find some deep signals out in the wet. We'll catch a little birds and the bees and the lady bugs in action...and I come away with my kids allowance.

This old road was built around a century ago to allow access to a new harbour on the river. Over a couple of days I explore the road, the verges and the adjacent riverbank. There were some surprising finds.

Finally got to meet with some really great , knowledgeable guys for a hunt on one of their permission.
Unfortunately I'm an idiot, I was about 5 hours late and then got rained off and I wasn't up for sticking a camera in anyones face so the actual detecting in this video is minimal but I had a good time, met some good guys and next video I'll be on time, will prepare for the rain AND do a run down of all our finds.
It was a great day and lovely to meet some new people that know their stuff. Cheers for the permission Greenock Detector!

Metal Detecting Back Yard - Big Steel thing ?
Came across this chunk of iron about 1 1/2' down could be a pipe, but I am not aware of any pipes running there nor would it make any sense for drainage in that direction.
the last time I dug deep iron I unearthed a childs pedal car from around the 20's, you can check that out here guesses on what it is ? Think there is anything inside of it ?
Probably junk but I will dig it .....

WARDIGGERS HOLLAND - METAL DETECTING FOR BEGINNERS LESSON 3 - WW2 RELICS MARKET GARDEN- LOCATIONS
This is a video made in 2 times.
We lost 90% of the footage we wanted to use for this video. We had to do it all over again except the intro at the bridge and bunker.
With 40 degrees celcius the camera kept overheating. Digging was no real option so we did what we could and went a couple of extra miles to show some extra locations.
We hope the info is usefull.
Make sure it is legal if you want to dig somewhere.
Do not trespass
Make sure you have a permission if you need it.
We strongly advise you not to mess with live ammo, and do not take it home!

I had a amazing hunt today 100 degree heat but lasted about 2 hours. I dug an awesome hair clip or tie clip with the familys initial on the clip. Also a turquoise silver ring. Some awesome relics as well.
Metal Detecting - Unexpected Finds In The Woods...
It happened again! Something told me to check a certain area of an unknown forest. Despite a great first target, I moved forward and finally reached my destination point. I had the impression that this area was already hunted (the usual picture like a big hole and rusty iron item lying next to it). But a fores is hard to hunt and targets can be easy overlooked. The Roman coin surprised me very much. The Celtic silver coin shocked me. I hunted around it, but couldn't find any connection to other (similar) items.
It was a great hunt, my longest so far.
