On this Day in the Life, I head out for a long, but rather unproductive day of metal detecting. It really is getting pretty thin at this site and I need to move on to some other sites, but I figured I would give it one more go before the grass got to high to hunt. I was able to turn up a few relics though, and all in all it was a beautiful Day in the Life.

A Day in the LIfe # 136 About those Plates.

It was a rainy Day in the Life, and so I thought I would give an update on the finds my father and I made the other day. While we did in fact find a pile of plates, they were not quite what we had initially thought them to be. It is my hope that this video might help keep someone else from making the same assumption. We really wanted to believe that they might end up being belt plates, knowing the truth about this part of history is far more important. Here is to the next pile of plates, may they be what we are looking for!!

A Day in the Life # 51 Metal Detecting Huge Civil War Camp with Dad

This Day in the Life finds me off metal detecting the site of a large Civil War encampment with dad. We were both able to recover a few artifacts from the American Civil War, to meet a new friend and to log another great day of adventure together. Hope you guys enjoy our little trip as much as I did!
