On this metal detecting adventure, what was intended to be just a little exploring turned into some really cool finds! Silver, tokens, military, and wildlife!
King Edward 1st of England, silver hammered coin.
We think its a silver penny 2nd edition. Roughly dating to 1280ad making it over 700 years old.
Both myself and my lad were very happy with our first hammy. Was using a Garrett Euro Ace today. I preffer my Makro Racer but i cant complain at all with the result.

Managed to find a free day to do some diggin' in one of my favorite spots.... good 'ole Sticker Bush City, but looks like I have some company, lol. They only hunted for an hour though, and I too had a short hunt, but was able to save a beautiful Enfield and a musket ball or case shot. Looks like my honey-hole is drying up. Oh well, this site has been damn good to me. I have filled up quite a few display boxes there. Thanks for joining me on the hunt!

December 21st 2016 Turned out to be a gorgeous day on the Bay so I Went back out to the North Spit to explore more of the area I found the land mine in last week. I find a few more relics, a couple of Wheaties and still have acres to cover. I also stopped off at the park to visit the critters on the way home. Hope you enjoy.

XP Deus - Poking the Pasture
Hi everyone.
I decided to post a test video I made Dec. 23 2016 and make it public. Curiosity is the main motivation. It may be of intrest to some to see the XP Deus in action even though the content was not my main focus, learning the camera function and video editing software was.
So far so good ! I look forward to making videos with better content using this set up , after a few minor tweaks. Thanks for bearing with me.

I Can't Believe What's Down There!... Exploring Beneath an Abandoned Textile Mill.
You just never know what you're going to come across while out on an adventure. On this trip, I went exploring along the banks of the river and discovered an Old Abandoned textile mill that probably dates back to the mid 1800s. I did a little bit of magnet fishing in the river and got my rope hung around something or the magnet is stuck on a huge piece of iron. No telling what it could be! We will have to go back and find out. Magnet Fishing didn't turn out as planned, so I went exploring underneath the textile mill. There was a dark hole that had all kinds of interesting things inside, so I turned on my headlight and dropped down into the bottom of the hole to see what I could discover. There was a old box leaning up against the wall, I figured it could have valuables inside of it...... Thank you for watching my adventures and I hope you have a Merry Christmas!.
